Maamannan
It is a Tamil political thriller film starring Udhayanidhi Stalin, Keerthi Suresh, and Fahadh Faasil in the lead roles.
Maamannan is an MLA belonging to the opressed community, who rose up the ranks from being a party cadre in Salem, Tamil Nadu. His son, Athiveeran “Veera”, is a practitioner of Adimurai.
The successive events of the film follow how Veera and he tackle the obstacles put forth by Rathnavelu to establish control in politics with the ideologies of social equality in the foreground.

Athiveeran is a martial arts instructor who has not been on speaking terms with his father due a harrowing incident from his childhood. A surprising turn of events makes him realize the truth about his father’s situation and how he was victimized by injustice.

Maamannan Review
“Maamannan” is a sociopolitical satire that features a captivating screenplay and commendable performances by Vadivelu and Fahadh. Their acting adds depth and soul to the movie, while director Mari Selvaraj once again provides a reality check for those who believe that societal progress has eliminated barriers based on caste. AR Rahman’s background score effectively matches the intensity of the story, although Keerthy could have delivered a stronger performance.
