Maamannan Review
“Maamannan” is a sociopolitical satire that features a captivating screenplay and commendable performances by Vadivelu and Fahadh. Their acting adds depth and soul to the movie, while director Mari Selvaraj once again provides a reality check for those who believe that societal progress has eliminated barriers based on caste. The film resonates with viewers who can relate to its themes, allowing them to appreciate the thought-provoking analogies used throughout, such as the pig and dog symbolism. AR Rahman’s background score effectively matches the intensity of the story, although Keerthy could have delivered a stronger performance. Udhay, as usual, showcases his signature style, contributing to an overall decent movie that stands out among recent releases.
